Install (sideload)

  1. Download the APK above on your Android phone (Android 7.0 or newer).
  2. Open it. If Android asks, allow your browser to install unknown apps — this app is not on the Play Store yet.
  3. Tap Install. Updates arrive inside the app under More → Updates, so you only sideload once.

Every build is signed with the same Sleepless Games key, so each update installs over the last.

Browser extension for Chrome & Firefox

Browse the Steam store as usual and the extension drops a Sleepless Steam Index panel into every game page: players right now, 24-hour peak and average, the observed record, our US price and discount, and a 48-hour sparkline — with links straight to the game's index page and charts. The toolbar popup lists the top games by players. It only ever talks to steam.sleeplessgames.co; no tracking, no other permissions.

Install in Chrome (or Edge, Brave)

  1. Download the Chrome zip and unzip it somewhere permanent.
  2. Open chrome://extensions, switch on Developer mode (top right).
  3. Click Load unpacked and pick the unzipped folder. Open any Steam store page to see the panel.

Not on the Chrome Web Store yet; the unpacked install keeps working across browser restarts.

Install in Firefox

  1. Download the Firefox zip and unzip it.
  2. Open about:debugging#/runtime/this-firefox → Load Temporary Add-on… → choose manifest.json in the unzipped folder.
  3. Open about:addons → Sleepless Steam Index → Permissions and allow access to the Steam store and the index (Firefox asks for these separately).

Temporary add-ons reset when Firefox closes until the extension is signed on addons.mozilla.org — that listing is coming.

Straight about the data

The index started collecting on 7 September 2026. It only has recent data right now, and it gets deeper every day the collector runs. Fields Steam does not report for an app show as “—” with the time we last checked. We do not copy SteamDB or SteamCharts; every number is our own measurement.
